
Nathan Sweet is a professional Fire Fighter and Paramedic who works saving lives in one of
the busiest Fire Stations in Los Angeles.
A 38–year old Moorpark homeowner, husband and
father of three children – Ben, 7, Nick, 5 and Lauren 3 – he has spent nearly two
decades – more than half his life – in public service.
Nathan served as an emergency dispatcher, then Providence Firefighter, while working his way through Providence College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He studied for two years after college to earn his professional certificate as a paramedic.


Nathan met his wife Rebecca; an Occupational Therapist who works with developmentally delayed children, while visiting his sister Julie at college. They have been married 9 years.
As a Moorpark parent, Nathan's been involved coaching youth sports and serves on the Walnut Canyon PTA. As an Emergency First Responder, he has served his professional association as an active member of the Finance and Human Relations committees and served the Commendations Board.
In his grassroots candidacy for Moorpark City Council, Nathan, his friends, neighbors and local community leaders, are going door–to–door to engage Moorpark voters and bring his message of improved public safety and vigorous economic development directly to our community.
